More Than Robots
T.W.C.A. is a World Championship award-winning FIRST Tech Challenge Team (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) in Hurricane, Utah. We are comprised of 5 team members ages 12-17 and several adult mentors.
Follow us on our journey as we design and build robots to meet specific seasonal criteria in order to achieve our goals of becoming better friends, mentors, engineers, and ambassadors of FIRST and STEM in our community. We are thankful for the friendships we made during our last 6 seasons and look forward to meeting many new people through the new 2025-2026 DECODE season.
Our team is based on the Disney television show Phineas and Ferb and their pet platypus, Perry. Our team has been blessed to have become friends with the creators of the show and have fun collaborating with them on projects!
T.W.C.A. was invited to participate in both the 2022 and 2023 FIRST Championship in Houston, Texas! We would like to thank all of our fans and sponsors that helped us raise the funds we needed to make the trip.

Outreach

Last season we performed over 1,800 hours promoting FIRST in-person and virtually, and volunteering in the Southern Utah STEM community, with an estimated reach of over 100,000 impacted. For the Into the Deep season, we have been busy again volunteering and teaching about STEM locally, statewide and even through some international online events.

In the News

Over the last 6 years, we have found ourselves in multiple print articles and publications including the Salt Lake Tribune, Deseret News, and St. George News. We were also featured in a promotional video for the grand opening of Utah Tech Universities’, Atwood Innovation Plaza and newscasts on FOX13 and KUTV.
